    This week for English Composition 2, we read a Gothic fiction and horror story called The Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allan Poe. The story is about a guy named Montresor, who killed Fortunato. They seem to be far friends; Montresor gave no apparent reason as to why he killed Fortunato. It also seems that this might not have been his first time killing, because in the short story, Montresor is removing the bones from the pile of stones he has already taken down before.     In this week’s Ethnographic class, we discussed the struggles and inequalities in the education system and work environment, along with factors that contribute to the problem. During the group reading, I read that neoliberalism is a concept that limits government intervention and promotes free markets in schools and workplaces. We discussed that engaging and understanding the material as a whole is better than just doing it for a grade. To apply what we learn to the real world, we need to fully understand the meaning.
