What I Learned from Worker Control in Venezuela: Rethinking Labor, Power, and Collective Work:
This week in my ethnographic class, we watched Worker Control in Venezuela, a documentary by Dario Azzellini and Oliver Ressler. The film focused on Venezuelan factory workers who chose to run their workplaces collectively instead of being controlled by private owners. Hearing the workers speak in their own words helped me understand the emotional, economic, and political stakes behind their decision.
