week 7
we watched a film called “5 Factories – Worker Control in Venezuela.” The movie is about factories in Venezuela where the workers don’t just take orders from a boss. Instead, they work together in groups or unions and help make decisions.
In the film, workers explained that even though they worked very long hours, they were paid very little. Some also said they didn’t get benefits like health insurance. They felt that in the older capitalist system, the people in charge made most of the money, while regular workers did most of the hard work but didn’t get treated fairly.
Composition class, we had a different type of assignment. We each chose an object and described it in different ways. Then i research sources to connect that object to bigger ideas and information.
