Last Wednesday I decided to do our observation assignment at West 4 Street train station on the way home. Here’s what I found:

• Guy sits on bench next to bike
• Guy with fancy grey suit is on his phone
• Another man with a fancy suit but in blue and he has a roller suitcase
• Area of mostly older people/sprinkle of middle aged women
• Older Gen Z
• 2 cute African-American guys conversation on the platform edge
• A packed bench of mostly middle aged women
• A woman leaves elevator with cool pink hair, as well as a guy with a bike.
• On the other side of the station is a police department
• 2 Cops stand behind the counter, one on his walkie talkie as the other one talks to him.
• Cute guy with curly ombre hair gets off escalator dressed like hes traveling to the beach.
• Muslim woman in all purple robes
• Trash on floor
• Another man with Blue suit
• Old lady with cute pink pants

Personal Thoughts:

• Stepped on the back of someone’s shoes as soon as I got off of the M train.
• I wonder if the cops standing behind the counter secretly have a Dunkin Donut box on their desks.
• Overall conclusion: There must be a lot of office workplaces in the area. It seems to be where a lot of people transfer to go to work/school.
• Finally, my overcrowded Far Rockaway A train arrives. The end.
