In this week’s English Composition class, we used this class to start wrapping up or 2 assignments. My research essay and autobiography just needed a few changes, but most of it was done. I finally chose a title for my autobiography. I wrote down some bullet points on what I wanted to talk about in my presentation so it can be organized and hopefully reach the 3-minute mark. I had a one-on-one with Rachel to discuss my research essay, and she helped incorporate more historical facts about when zoos originated and where they originated from. I also plan to change my first sentence to have a more impactful introduction based on Rachel’s feedback.

In Ethnographic Methods at Work, we reflected on what work we had done throughout the whole semester. I choose to reflect on the collective mapping project. I really enjoyed doing this assignment because it allowed me to go out to a park that I hadn’t gone to in a while. It was very interesting to see what other people did at the park and notice people’s every move. It was almost as if it were a little bubble in their world. You don’t notice how many people are around you until you are writing down notes about them. It builds curiosity on if the park is a time for peace or an escape. These pictures are observations and personal thoughts from when I sat in Bryant Park.
