Blog #3 Ethnographic Mapping
In Ethnographic Mapping, Tom Martin explains that ethnographic maps show how people use and interact with a space, not just its physical design. These maps help us understand culture, movement, and relationships within a place.
The text also presents four types of maps spatial, life history, organizational, and process maps. Each allows us to visualize different aspects of social life and work.
This approach demonstrates that mapping is another way to interpret human action. In my own environment, I could use maps to observe how students occupy and move through university spaces.
