I think the idea of a map where you can describe the history behind how it came to be is great. You can even state why it is significant to you. I used Jackie Robinson Park as my example. I played for a basketball team associated with the rec center within the park and had lots of fun memories. Most of my time at the park was in middle school. I remember a specific memory when me and my teammates were on our way to a basketball game in 7th grade right before the world wide lock down. Lil Uzi Vert had released “Eternal Atake” which was, in my opinion, one of the best albums released that year. We were excited on the way to the game because it was the start of the playoffs and we had a really good chance at making it to the championship and winning it all. When we got to the court, the public safety had an odd look on his face, more of like disappointment. He broke the news down to us that the playoffs were being cancelled and there was a global pandemic causing cities around the world to shut down. Up until that point I had my little fun, beating teams by 20-30 points on any given day. The outside park itself we used to just play around and practice plays for real game scenarios. I definitely wish we would’ve got a chance to play in the playoffs and see how far our skills and team chemistry would’ve taken us.
